When you keep statistics, you'll begin to see patterns. At the end of the day you'll be pleased with yourself.

And then, when it's time for a decision to be made, which direction to go can become quite clear if you have statistics.

Here's an example of how that works. In my real estate company, I keep track of how I met my clients. Over the years, it has become clear that print advertising produces the smallest results for us, yet costs the MOST!

So when its time to budget my promotional money, it's a lot easier to select which marketing deserves our company dollar.

Statistics also tell you how productive you are. When I hear people working ridiculous hours, I know it's because they had not used their time efficiently and guilt drives them to stay up late to "catch up." However, if you've used your time wisely, your statistics will show a great deal of accomplishment in a day. Then you can relax knowing you're moving things forward.
